The coastal setting of Strumble Head Lighthouse creates a calm and expansive focal point, well suited to living rooms, bedrooms, or interiors with a coastal or contemporary style. Its layered composition and natural tones bring both depth and tranquillity to a space.
Strumble Head Lighthouse stands on Ynysmeicl, a small rocky island off the Pembrokeshire coast, built to guide vessels through a stretch of sea once known for frequent shipwrecks. Positioned between Ireland and Fishguard Harbour, this exposed coastline demanded a reliable navigational aid, and the lighthouse has served that role since the 19th century. Now automated, it continues to mark this historic maritime route.
In this image, the island sits surrounded by deep blue water, with the lighthouse visible at its highest point. The foreground cliffs frame the scene, while the sea curves around the base of the island. Soft, diffused light from the clouded sky enhances the natural tones, creating a balanced and atmospheric composition.
Bring stunning photography into your space with this high-quality art print, designed for exceptional detail and longevity. Printed on Premium Lustre Photographic - a semi-matt finish with a subtle, speckled sheen that minimizes glare, making it ideal for bright rooms or spaces with direct lighting. Its subtle texture adds depth, while supporting deeper colour saturation than standard matte photo prints.
Each st michaels island art print includes a 1/4-inch white border by default, providing a refined, ready-to-frame presentation. Need a custom border size or colour? I offer tailored options upon request to match your specific framing or display preferences.
