The Falls of Rha is a double waterfall tucked into woodland just outside the village of Uig on the Isle of Skye. Reached by a short and easily overlooked path from the Kilmuir road, it offers a quieter, more secluded setting compared to some of Skye’s better-known locations. The water descends in two stages through a narrow gorge, framed by rock and dense vegetation.
The composition centres on the waterfall as it cascades over dark rock, with the upper and lower falls clearly visible. Moss-covered stones and still water in the foreground add depth, while the surrounding trees enclose the scene. Soft light filtering through the foliage brings out warm greens and earthy tones, enhancing the sense of a sheltered, natural space.
