Portmellon is a small coastal village on the south coast of Cornwall, tucked into a sheltered cove just outside the harbour town of Mevagissey. Traditionally a fishing settlement, the village developed around the natural curve of its harbour where boats could find protection from the open waters of St Austell Bay. Today Portmellon retains the character of a quiet Cornish coastal community, with whitewashed cottages and narrow lanes overlooking the water.
