Agia Agathi Beach is best known for its soft golden sand and warm, shallow waters - a favourite with locals and slightly in-the-know visitors. But wander to the edges and you'll find the rocks quietly showing off. The coastline here is full of curious shapes carved by wind, salt and time - like nature doodling in stone. Every so often, one of them seems to take on a life of its own. There's a long tradition of spotting shapes in natural formations: ancient Greeks saw gods in the clouds and heroes in the stars, so it's not too much of a stretch to spot a dog guarding the beach. Whether it's a coincidence or a local legend in the making, it's definitely worth a second look.
I spotted this dog-like rock keeping watch at the edge of Agia Agathi, perfectly sculptured by the elements. The sky was an uninterrupted blue, the kind that makes everything feel sharper, and the whole scene had a strange sense of calm. If you love the quiet humour of nature or beachy scenes with a bit of personality, this one's for you. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
