Castle Hill in Huddersfield is a site steeped in history, folklore, and local charm. At its summit stands the iconic Victoria Tower, built in 1899 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
The hill has long been a beacon of history and legend - quite literally, as it was once used for signal fires to warn of danger.
Ancient stone remains suggest the site was inhabited as far back as the Bronze Age, with an Iron Age hillfort later constructed here. Folklore even claims that giants once roamed the hill!

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
