The Stargazer lily, a stunning Oriental hybrid introduced in 1974 by California breeder Leslie Woodriff, revolutionised lily cultivation with its upward-facing blooms that seem to gaze at the sky - hence its evocative name.
A cross between Asiatic and Oriental lilies, it combines vibrant colour, bold form, and an intoxicating sweet fragrance, quickly becoming one of the world's most beloved and commercially successful lilies.
