The Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, Lancaster, is often called the “Taj Mahal of the Northâ€.
This stunning Edwardian folly was commissioned by industrialist Lord Ashton in memory of his late wife. Built in 1909, the structure boasts a copper dome visible for miles and intricate carvings that make it a marvel of craftsmanship.
