Perched on the tiny island of Kastri, just a short swim or paddle from Agios Stefanos Beach in Kos, the chapel of Aghios Nikolaos looks like it was plucked straight from a postcard. According to local lore, Kastri Island is actually the tip of a sunken mountain, and the chapel has stood as a beacon of peace and protection for generations.
