Headstone Tunnel forms part of the former Midland Railway line through the Peak District, now incorporated into the Monsal Trail near Bakewell. Constructed in the 19th century, the tunnel was engineered to carry trains through the rugged limestone landscape, reflecting the ambition and precision of Victorian railway design. Today, it remains a striking feature of the trail, offering a direct connection between past industry and present-day exploration.
