English Historic Buildings greeting cards - beautifully printed and designed to make an impression.
The detailed façade and sweeping steps of the Ashton Memorial create a striking greeting card design. The strong lines and balanced composition make it suitable for a variety of occasions, offering a simple architectural subject.
The Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, Lancaster, is often called the 'Taj Mahal of the North'.
This stunning Edwardian folly was commissioned by industrialist Lord Ashton in memory of his late wife. Built in 1909, the structure boasts a copper dome visible for miles and intricate carvings that make it a marvel of craftsmanship.
Folklore suggests the memorial's location, high on a hill, was chosen to symbolise eternal love watching over the city. Surrounded by lush gardens, it's a perfect spot for a stroll.
In this horizontal composition, the Ashton Memorial is captured from an elegant right-facing angle. The copper dome glows softly under the winter sky, while the orange path weaves through green grass and autumn leaves, adding warmth to the cool scene. Bare branches in the distance highlight the season's stillness.

Thank you so very much the mugs are really lovely and you have kept me informed how my order was doing right up to the delivery, your service is 1st class and I will be doing business with you again.
Brilliant! My print is beautiful. I initially ordered the wrong product due to my own error but Carol was so supportive and helpful I cannot recommend her/this company enough.
I'm absolutely made up with the print I received from Real World Art. I went for the Koi Carp image - It's very evocative and they've totally captured the serenity you feel watching Koi. You can almost hear the babbling water! What's more, it's a top quality print, pin-sharp and looks great framed up. Couldn't recommend them any higher.. lovely to deal with.. thank you.
