A plasma ball contains a mixture of noble gases enclosed within a glass sphere, with a high-voltage electrode at its centre. When electricity is applied, the gases become ionised, producing glowing plasma that extends outward in branching filaments. These filaments shift and react to electrical changes, creating a constantly evolving display. The original plasma lamp concept was developed by Nikola Tesla during his work with high-voltage energy.
