The Stargazer lily, a stunning Oriental hybrid introduced in 1974 by California breeder Leslie Woodriff, revolutionised lily cultivation with its upward-facing blooms that seem to gaze at the sky - hence its evocative name.
A cross between Asiatic and Oriental lilies, it combines vibrant colour, bold form, and an intoxicating sweet fragrance, quickly becoming one of the world's most beloved and commercially successful lilies. Renowned for its dramatic pink petals edged in white and speckled with crimson, the Stargazer symbolises ambition, abundance, prosperity, and the pursuit of lofty dreams.
This intimate macro photograph captures the intricate heart of a Stargazer lily, with petals curving outward in vibrant shades of pink, white edges, and crimson freckles against a stark black void. The golden-yellow throat and prominent reddish-brown anthers draw the eye inward, while subtle shadows and highlights reveal the delicate veining and silky texture of each petal.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
