The Peel Monument, also known as Holcombe Tower, stands on Harcles Hill above Ramsbottom. Built in 1852, it was erected as a memorial to Sir Robert Peel, who was born nearby in Bury and served twice as Prime Minister. The tower overlooks a wide stretch of countryside, reflecting both its commemorative purpose and its commanding position within the landscape.
In this image, the monument rises from the hillside, set against a backdrop of open sky and distant views. A worn path leads through the grass toward the tower, guiding the eye into the scene. Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
