The lake's striking appearance owes much to its rugged beauty and the play of light on its surface, reflecting the craggy peaks above. Interestingly, the Screes, steep slopes formed by volcanic rock, tumble directly into the lake's south-eastern edge, creating a dramatic backdrop steeped in geological history.
Wastwater is home to more than just scenic beauty; it's rich in folklore too. Legend has it that the Screes are haunted by a spectral hound, a chilling tale that adds mystery to this already awe-inspiring location.

Optional lamination is available in satin or gloss to match your selected paper, providing extra protection against moisture and handling. However, lamination is not recommended for Fine Art Matt paper, as it will obscure its authentic texture.
