Illustrated Birds canvas wall art - gallery wrapped and available up to 36in x 24in.
The dynamic flying pose, intricate feather patterns, and subtle natural tones make this illustration particularly well suited to wall art. Ideal for living rooms, home offices, coastal properties, or nature-inspired interiors, it creates an elegant focal point while celebrating one of Britain's most recognisable and treasured birds.
The Eurasian curlew (Numenius arquata) is Europe's largest wading bird and one of Britain's most distinctive coastal and wetland species. Instantly recognised by its exceptionally long, down-curved bill and beautifully mottled brown plumage, it inhabits estuaries, mudflats, moorland, and coastal marshes. Its haunting, bubbling call has become one of the defining sounds of Britain's wild landscapes, although the species has undergone significant declines in recent decades.
This original digital illustration captures a Eurasian curlew in flight with its wings outstretched and characteristic curved bill prominently displayed. Created using clean, contemporary shapes with layered colour and finely detailed feather work, the artwork conveys both the elegance and unmistakable silhouette of this iconic wading bird in a modern illustrative style.
This stretched canvas print offers a contemporary and gallery-style way to display your chosen image. Professionally produced and carefully hand finished, it combines modern print technology with traditional framing craftsmanship to create wall art designed for long-lasting colour and presence.
Your image is printed using UVgel print technology, producing vibrant colour, excellent detail and strong resistance to fading. The professional lab printing process carries a 100+ year colour guarantee, ensuring the artwork remains clear and rich for decades.
Each canvas is stretched over a solid wooden frame made from European kiln-dried knotless pine. The stretcher bars are milled with a curved profile that minimises contact with the canvas surface, helping to prevent impression marks and allowing the artwork to remain smooth and evenly tensioned.
The frame features finger-jointed corners to maintain structural strength and resist warping over time. For larger sizes, discreet tensioning wedges are added to the corners, allowing the canvas to remain taut and making future adjustment possible if required.
Every canvas is hand finished by experienced framers, ensuring clean folds and precise stretching on each corner. The 38mm deep frame gives the artwork a strong wall presence, while a choice of black, white or image wrap edges allows the final presentation to suit your space.
Stretched canvases are designed to hang directly from the wooden stretcher frame, allowing the artwork to sit flush against the wall for a clean, gallery-style finish. Simply place a nail or screw into the wall and rest the frame over it. For larger canvases, two fixings positioned either side of the centre stretcher bar provide additional stability.
