Brilliant! My print is beautiful. I initially ordered the wrong product due to my own error but Carol was so supportive and helpful I cannot recommend her/this company enough. - Jonathon S, Rotherham
English Abbeys canvas wall art - gallery wrapped and available up to 30in x 20in.
Whitby Abbey presented in monochrome creates a striking and atmospheric focal point. The dramatic Gothic ruins set against the open sky and windswept grassland bring a strong sense of history and presence, while the black and white treatment emphasises texture and form. Well suited to living rooms, studies or hallways, this piece complements both modern and traditional interiors with a refined, timeless character.
Whitby Abbey looks even more stunning in the autumn light, surrounded by a sea of golden grasses that seem to glow against the ruins. The crisp air and vibrant hues of fall add an extra layer of magic to this iconic landmark. Originally founded in the 7th century, the abbey's dramatic position atop the cliffs has made it a symbol of Whitby's rich history and captivating beauty.
As you gaze at the towering gothic arches framed by the soft autumn grass, it's easy to imagine the monks who once walked these grounds, and the stories they must have had to tell. The view is truly breathtaking - a perfect blend of nature and history.
This photo captures the essence of Whitby Abbey in autumn, offering a moment to reflect on its timeless charm.
This stretched canvas print offers a contemporary and gallery-style way to display your chosen image. Professionally produced and carefully hand finished, it combines modern print technology with traditional framing craftsmanship to create wall art designed for long-lasting colour and presence.
Your image is printed using UVgel print technology, producing vibrant colour, excellent detail and strong resistance to fading. The professional lab printing process carries a 100+ year colour guarantee, ensuring the artwork remains clear and rich for decades.
Each canvas is stretched over a solid wooden frame made from European kiln-dried knotless pine. The stretcher bars are milled with a curved profile that minimises contact with the canvas surface, helping to prevent impression marks and allowing the artwork to remain smooth and evenly tensioned.
The frame features finger-jointed corners to maintain structural strength and resist warping over time. For larger sizes, discreet tensioning wedges are added to the corners, allowing the canvas to remain taut and making future adjustment possible if required.
Every canvas is hand finished by experienced framers, ensuring clean folds and precise stretching on each corner. The 38mm deep frame gives the artwork a strong wall presence, while a choice of black, white or image wrap edges allows the final presentation to suit your space.
Stretched canvases are designed to hang directly from the wooden stretcher frame, allowing the artwork to sit flush against the wall for a clean, gallery-style finish. Simply place a nail or screw into the wall and rest the frame over it. For larger canvases, two fixings positioned either side of the centre stretcher bar provide additional stability.
